Rotary International has slightly more than 1.2 million members, the same number we have cited for the past 4 years. So what is going on? Over the last 4 years (maybe longer) our International membership has hovered around 1.2 million members. We seem to recruit close to 500,000 new members world wide, yet continue to show a static growth figure.

Evanston, IL, USA, 28 October 2019 — Past President of the Montgomery Rotary Club, Sam Adams and his wife, the former Mary Virginia Martin were thanked as they became the first ever Arch Klumph Society members from Alabama Rotary District 6880. The District covers all of central and south Alabama.

The District water well project for Zambia has been completed. Phase 1, the well for Wachema, Zambia is complete and is providing clean, clear water for the village and school. On October 6, 2019 the well was completed and went operational. Serving a community of 200 villagers and a school of 350 pupils, this is the first time since 1998 the village has access to water. While we celebrate with our partner Choose Water, we know there is much still to be done. The district 6880 Foundation has set up an account to receive donations to help us complete well # 2. To date we have $4000.00 on hand against a need of $8500.00.
